Will Blue lobsters be ok with Neons, various other similar sized tetra, Betta fish, Guppies and small (Guppy sized) Angel fish?

Thanks.

Mr blue lobster would
have a good old nosh up
you could do better than
a lobster why not some cherry
shrimp

They were the original intention as I expected the answer to Mr Lobster would be 'Dinner time'.

Cherrys it is.

Cheers Ladies and Jellyspoons.

mine are bigger than the suggested 3cm though and are about 2 inches.

also cherry shrimp wont last long with the angels in the same tank

Fan Shrimp, these are big and so they will definately not be eaten by angels. They are not very colourful in fish stores and as they malt they will gradually change their colour and have a very nice colouration - usually a cream colour stripe down their back and red for the rest.

Also, any shrimp do better in hard, alkaline water, this helps their shell develop during malting. The same conditions are required for snails.

Obviously you can successfully keep them in soft water, they just prefer hard and will show up more as they feel more safe.

Whatever you decide on good luck.

The Angels are barely any bigger than the Neon tetras lol.

Literally about the size of a 20p piece with a little bit of fin overflow. I bought them with the neons asking for the smallest specifically so they saw the neons as 'cousins' rather than food, Id expect this to happen with any shrimp I throw in there.

Everybody who has come and seen the tank cannot believe just how small they are.

Also, very interested in those Fan shrimp but cant find anywhere that sells them.

Any pointers?

the fan shrimp aka rock shrimp, bamboo shrimp etc can be tricky to keep alive. all filter feeding shrimp need a supply of food that we cant really provide them with in a community tank set up. instead of scavenging their meals they filter the water using fans to remove very small bits of food. they will normally find a spot suitable for them and just stay there, if its on view then your lucky if not you may never see them again. these shrimp if not given the right conditions will starve and die.

That's that one out then.
with the right care angels grow very fast and will soon be able to eat cherry shrimp. i have kept amano shrimp and the gold spots with angels without any probs as long as the shrimp arent too young/small :good:

shrimp can be as expensive as a fish so you dont want to have fish food thats £2-3 a pop :good:
