And no, not really. More likely the fish will be caught and killed. At least some will.
The loaches may. Because they're at the bottom, where the cray's are.
They're also mostly in a species tank. (Recommended, or just alone)

Hi,
To anyone considering buying a blue lobster/crayfish and adding it to a community tank please DON'T. I'm having a break from cleaning out old tank to rehouse Mr. Pinchy.
He's quick , he's amusing he's been here a week to the day. The fish shop said he'll be fine with the fish when we asked. BUT they lied!
We are missing a clown loach, 3 yo-yo loach and 2 cory dory and poss another loach. He has been well fed but that hasnt stopped him ( mussels, veg, fruit, crustacean pellets and of course the fish. its a 4 ft tank so he's not crowded.

Anything i mean anything that goes near him he nips at, we have 2 big 9, 10 inch cats and he has a go. So even if you have big fish you risk them geting infections in wounds.

He has stressed the tank beyond belief, most of the losses happened yesterday and overnight . im cleaning and refilling and off to get a new air pump and hes moving hopefully later tonight.

We don't usually buy until looking possible additions up online if we had we wouldn't have bought it as i have found numerous warnings on other sites.

THEY WILL EAT OR MAIM YOUR SMALL FISH! AND DAMAGE YOUR BIGGER.

Right , ive rested my bad back off to fill the 3ft tank up it was either that or return to shop. They are amusing but not for community tanks.

Hope anyone considering buying reads this.

Sharon

Thanks for the info, think I will leave it then, maybe in the future I will look at a speices tank.

Thanks

sorry thats not entirely true. it just depends what fish you keep with your crays :)

i keep crays with a range of fish (including bottom dwellers) and have never had a problem :)

oscars, synos, pictus, angels, and numerous small fish.
the small ones are all too small and too fast for my crays to catch.
the crays dont dare go for the bigger fish.
if you have a large enough tank it can be done very nicely :)

i agree with spishkey, i keep mine with a mixture of fish such as clown loachs, plecos, bala sharks and barbs. he has not harmed one of them because the other fish are too quick. as long as there is enough places for fishs like the clown loach and other bottom fish they should be fine. but it is up to you if you want to risk it.

But then, yeah. Fish that stay only at the top, (I forgot the name, sorry :X) will live.
But bottom dwellers, they'll go. Also, The ones that tend to be in the middle can possible go too. My cray actually climbed a plastic plant and jumped for a swordtail juvy. (My cray's about 1.5" though, and the same with the swordtail)
