i mostly want to see my fish at night but i dont want to see in a white light because i think that scares them

so with nocturanal predetors you could see them freed with out them staying in the dark

please help

I have tank with my pangasius catfish in, he is about 6-7" just (I know how big they get so please dont send me links......I rescued him from the tank in my work) and he is nocturanal.

I use the moonglow bulbs but even with them he sits in his wee spot and does nothing, the second the lights go off he is swimming around litterally within seconds, Id LOVE to see him swim like that with the lights on but he doesnt.

Anyway the reason Im replying is that someone on the forum sells like a dimmer switch for bulbs and advertises it on the little picture next to his messages (sorry Im not very technical).........it says to PM him for details, I cant remember who it is now but Im going keep an eye out for it because it sounds like it could be the answer.

hi
as ghostcarp says u can make your own, however i have just bought some from a chap on ebay (he was very helpful, as i'm a bit of a dimwit when it comes to this sort of thing). they r really easy to set up (they must be, took me less than 10 minutes, once i decided where to stick them :D ) think they were about £10.00. however can't tell u what they look like yet as only set them up half an hour ago......got to wait til it gets dark
