Blue Led Night Lighting

I decided to do a bit of DIY and make a little kit myself.  I bought 2 x 48 cm strip with a total of 96 Blue LED's and a 240 - 12V DC power adaptor and I will splice them together and see how I get on.  Total cost was only £9 including postage!

Ok so I am home from offshore and my parts were all waiting for me:

 
Saved them from going on someone Saxo!
 
I disconnect my lights from the lid and removed the lid:
 

 
Then I used some screws and tie wraps to secure them to the lid.
 

 
I did test they worked first but this is what they look like:

 
I wired one up either side of the centre partition and connected them in parallel with solder and heat shrink.
 
Put the lid back on and plugged it in.  A sneak peak under the lid:

Just realised I already have the power supply so just need to get the LEDs! Think I'll be off to eBay very shortly!
