Blue Gourami - Severe Bloat On Both Sides Of Front Of Body

Hi All,

I have a Blue Gourami with severe bloating on both sides of the front of his body (sorry, my camera has gone kuput so no piccie).

The water quality is good with regular changes. I am not using dried food for feeding and none of the other fish appear to be affected. I am treating as an internal bacteria using Interpet Number 9 and am on day 7 of an 8 day treatment.

The condition seems to have worstened (larger bloat) in the last 24 hours. The fish (Bunberry) is eating normally and is showing no other symptons including abnormal behavour.

Any suggestions?

You could try an epson salt bath, plus feed frozen daphnia and shelled peas.
