Blue Dwarf Gouramis

When our tanks has finished cycling we want to get some blue dwarf gouramis, are all the brightly coloured ones male? or if not how can you sex them?

oops i think my answer is in another post i missed!
 
The males are usually a lot more colorful than the females, and a little bigger. Also the top fins... males are pointy where the females are rounded... slightly harder to tell if they are younger
 
The anal fin of the male also becomes quite 'bulbous' compaired to the female's and the females are usualy plumper and wider if you look down at them from above. But the colors are the easiest way to sex them and you can see the differences from a young age so it's unlikely you'll have any difficulties. Females tend to be silvery in color though some can have quite beautiful pale stripes/colors.
