blue crayfish

The plants you will lose for sure. I find plants in lakes to put in my tanks, very cheap:) As for dying fish, unless you actually see the crayfish catch the fish, there is a good chance the fish either died on its own, and then was eaten by the crayfish, or was sick on the bottom and became easy prey. Few people have actually seen them get caught, I know it happens, but I think crayfish get a worse reputation as fish eaters than they should.

Crayfish Illegal in the UK? hmm Odd they sell crayfish everywhere here. Where i live you can catch them right at the beach i see small peddlers selling 20 for a dollar not the blue your intrested in, i see them occasionally at the pet store for about 15 dollars. A 12'' Crayfish would need about a 55 gallon at least. Although i believe a 12 inch crayfish would most likely be a lobster. The fish need to be kept alone or with other crayfish, If you have any fish you plan on raising then the must be separated.. Good luck.

its illegal to own non-native species in England and Wales without a license. even then, the species for which you can be licensed are restricted.

the only non native species of cray legal in the uk without a license is the cherax quad. Others are sold but they aren't allowed to be, but trying to tell many lfs is oftern a waste of time, they smile and nod then ignore.
