Blue Crayfish

Hi, does anyone know where I can find blue crayfish? "Procambarus Alleni" species. I live in Los Angeles, CA.

I hate to say it but I know Petco sells them...Im in Wa but ive seen them at every store around here.... Also you could go to a reputable LFS and ask them to order you one.....I perfer option 2

I've checked 2 petco's around here and sevaral fish stores, none have them. Im pretty confused now about the temperment of these crayfish. Ive read online that the "Procambarus Alleni" wont harm community fish but this guy at fish store i went today said that all crayfish will attack any bottom dwellers or slow moving fish. Can someone shed some light on this?

i currently have a blue cray fish, and to be perectly honest they are so peaceful, the only time when they may become agressive is towards find food, and when any fish enter the sleeping spot, which in most cases is most fish as most are terriotorial.. Mines sleeps upside half the time, and is getting quite big.. i would worry, but i would if u have larger fish in with it, as they may attack the cray fish, as my oscars tried.. then had to move it into my community tank.. where he loves..

I also have a blue crayfish that has set up camp in my tank and if you are concerned with their temperment they are usually fine .. My 2 plecos lie on top of my crayfish and suck on his head also something that I didn't know was that they molt. and low and behold I thought my crayfish (blueberry) was eaten from the inside out by my sharks and platys.. and I was traumatized so I thought I would shed some light on that before you experience it. good luck in finding one .. there great little guys.
