Hi all i had a quick look about on the Internet but couldnt find proper answers. (also my search function on here dont work? does anybody else not work it use to but hasn't over the last week or so!)

do blue apple snails eat live plants? im thinking they do but have found a few that say they dont so am slightly confused as to what to believe.

if these do eat live plants what are the ones that dont? carn't seem to remember there name

thanks
chris

blue apple snails are just a colour varient of the normal apple snails and as so do not eat plants unless they are hungry
i always feed my apple snails twice a week to make sure they are getting enough to eat

i have pink striped , red striped , golden , ivory , purple and blue apple snails ando none of these eat my healthy plants - they will eat dying plants

i know this sounds like a weird question but is the snail you are interested in a pale blue shell with dark blue body ? these dont eat plants

or is it the trapdoor snails wilth the blue shell and gold bits on them cos these eat plants

happy new year, i have blue and yellow apple snails and they both eat plants, also i dont recomend them as they breed like rabbits i went from having 1 yellow ans 1 blue snail now i have a tank with aprox 70 plus snails good job i had a spare tank so i could get them all out of my aquarium. good luck with your search

are you sure they are apple snails
all you do is remove the clutches when you see them as they only lay eggs out of the water

apple snails will only breed if you have a male and a female

wont let me see the picture but the snail is quite a pale blue. when i look at the snail very closely (the fleshy bit) it has very aluminous small pink dots
