I have been reading about blue acaras and noticed that my lfs has a couple of jueveniles. Are they recommended? Are they as aggressive as other cichlids? Would one get along with my other fish?
~3 angels
~2 opaline gouramies
~2 tinfoil barbs
~2 gold barbs
~3 gold severums
~1 violet goby
~3 sailfin mollies
~2 juevinile clown knives (temporary)
(in a 55g)

hmm, id be a bit worried with one nipping the angels and gouramis long fins but theyre often classified in the group as severums in terms of aggresivness and arnt that aggresive,
just dont get mixed up and get a Green Terror, those are real devils

straying from topic... but I love green terrors...

females aren't usually aggressive at all but males... well... they call them green TERROR for a reason

My acaras don't bother my angels at all Very peacful fish. My son has two with a Beta, they dont bother him at all.

How small are the acara's? Severums may bug them if too small. The answer to the question, the acaras should mix fine with your fish BUT, When the sevs grow to their full potential and the angels likewise a 55 gallon will be too small a tank for all these fish!!! An acara will be 5-6 inches too. Not familiar with tin barbs but believe they get quite large also.

I would not add any more fish. Your tank is overcrowded .

Yes well my tins hopefully arent staying for long. I got them small but they have become large and clumsy! :S
