Just given our fish their treat of thawed bloodworm (they haven't had any for a couple of weeks) and one of our long fin leopard danios has somehow gotten a bloodworm stuck in his gill. It's trailing out the side, but I can only see about half of it. He seems to be flicking a bit to try to get it out, but I'm concerned as to whether it could be fatal for him if he doesn't manage to get it out soon. Should I net him and try to remove it with tweezers? Would such an obstruction in his gill soon become deadly? It's only been there about 10 mins so far, but I wanted to be sure I do the right thing, whether that be leaving it or trying to remove it. Any advice?
Thanks!
