Hi everyone,

I have a 55 gal reef tank that I have had established for 6 months and was setup for three years by previous owner. I was having a problem with hair algae and a small patch of blood red slime (possible algae) on a pipe organ coral. I performed large water changes and added a lawnmower blenny. Now hair algae is gone but the red slime still exist and has spread a little. Water parameters look good. What can I do before it possibly ruins my tank or kill the pipe organ coral?

Please help

Reading some other topics, this red slime may be cyano. What do yo all know about this stuff?

its cyano, add more flow, cut back on nutrient in the tank, if you dont stop it it will smother ur corals
