Blood parrot doesnt like my hand in his tank.

I would love to get 2 things on video to show you.
1st is how nuts she goes when you put the cat upto the window, she full on attacks it.
2nd is how she charges at my oscar and head butts it, i mean she rams it hard! my oscar tilts back! thats how hard she hits him! this is a shot after she did it once.

Bl00dy hell, i wish my Parrots wree like that. As soon as mine see me coming in the room 15ft away they swim to nearest hideout....

Really LSD? How long have you had them?? Sometimes it takes them a bit....oh up to 6 weeks I've heard....before they will start begging at the site of you!!!

That photo of your BP hiding behind your Oscar is just too darn cute!!! What a sweetie pie!!!

My BP hates the net too, isn't the least bit afraid of it...it was really cute one day I was trying to catch my Rainbows that were in there with him "Polly" and he/Polly kept trying to attack it and finally I got one of my speedy Rainbows in the darn net and Polly pushed his big butt on in there too and wouldn't come out the silly guy  The rainbow escaped and I then had to chase it all over again!!!!!

Cheeky is dead on!!!

See my signature (top right corner) for my newest BP, my baby Oscar!!!!!! Hence his name is Oscar!!!!

Bottom left corner for my larger one......sweet guy!!! Everyone that comes over just LOVES to watch my BPs...they are constantly butting each other around!!

hahaha.. great shot! My rams attack the crap outta my hand if they've got eggs in there. usually doesn't hurt but my male got me good on my arm last time lol

"SWIM.....DOWN.......SWIM.....DOWN......SWIM....DOWN.."

  I just saw the pics, Vip! They are hilarious! Lately My Jellybeans are getting better at coming out when I'm at the tank. they mainly just think that I'm going to feed them. But I put my fingure on the glass and they follow it all over the tank.

(Before they were petrified because I was tring to get a sick platty out of the tank to medicate it, so they thought I was going after them!!)

Ya, 5 weeks is quite a while though........how large is this particular BP and what other tank mates is it in with?? :D

i am thinking now about getting a BP to go in with my oscar and bichor fish after readin this post. what do yall think?

Forgot to add guys, BP's are that rare here is australia, and i mean rare i had to fork out $150 for her but she is worth it :)

I guess you can pet fish afterall.
My barbs and platies let me pet them. I'll put my hand in the water and they will swim through my fingers and then i can touch them, and they dont swim away. I love it

I would only say go for the BP with the Oscar if you can find a BP roughly the same size.....we all know how them cute wittwe oscars can be   :grr: :grr:

Go for it! (Obviously, make sure you have a LARGE tank.)
LSD- Usually the running away should only last for 1-3 weeks. But, if your's are young still, they'll warm up.
Vip, it cost you $150??? I would have bought one here and shipped it to you for $40!!
The only thing that lets me pet them are my albino cories! They aren't the brightest lights. When I'm cleaning the tank they come up to me then freak out just as they touch me.
