I have a albino britlenose pleco and its seems that its stomach has swelled up don't know if it is pregnant or bloated any ideas on what it could be and what should I do..the pleco seems to be doing fine and I did a water change already.

Hi jcabs100 :)

I'm going to move your thread over to the Catfish section. In the meanwhile, it would probably help if you post more information about your fish and tank. What are you feeding it?

Aswell as pics if possible.... could just be gravid but im sure a photo will confirm

Okay well I have a 20 gallon tank working on getting a 65 gallon my tank is not cycled and I got about 12 neon tetras 6 cory cats high fin pleco and a betta I will be moving them into a 65 as soon as I get it but the bristle nose pleco is what worries now I'm say it because idk if it male or female and well it has a bloated stomach didn't have it when I got it and seemed to be fine since until I looked at her yesterday and it looked like it was pregnant but then I thought I had lost a neon tetra to explosion because it had eaten to much now right now I'm feeding my fish flake food but I'm bottom dweller foods because I have the corys also as for the pictures right now I'm using my cell phone to right this so I don't know how to post them I have pictures to email maybe sorry for writing so much

1) 'high fin pleco' - I take it that isn't the bristlenose? Sounds like it could be a tankbuster, can you show us that one?
2) All those fish are in an uncycled tank?
3) A neon won't 'explode' due to overeating
4) can you move the pictures on to your computer and upload them to something like photobucket and post them here?

help us to help you

i have a few more pictures this is one

Hmm that doesn't look right to me.

Feed some peas asap, they can help with internal blockages.

Also, can you answer the other questions I asked?

Well the 20 gallon is cycled I got a 65 gallon that's being cycled soon just that I work and don't have time might start this weekend also my water is alittle cloudy any ideas on how to make it clear I've tried everything its not ammonia because its at 0 I just don't know what it is

Unfortunately as soon as I finished writing my last post my sister called and said the pleco had died :(
