I saw this coral when I was first starting out. I went back to the store that had it, and they still have tons of it, 10$ a polyp. From what I've talked to them there and what I've researched they are relatively undemanding corals. Keep alkalinity and calcium right then they should grow fine. Are photosynthetic, easy to propagate, perfer low-medium flow, and like bottom of tank away from strong light but can tolerate low light, but can't be in direct strong light. My question, is this about right? I haven't seen anybody on here mention this coral or seen anything on it, but I searched it and there's topics on it. Ski you posted it doesn't do well under PC's, the guy that I talked to that has a 125 that he built into his wall says it does fine under pc's and from preliminary research it says it does ok? Am I going to be ok keeping them under pc's if I keep calcium and alkilinty hight? The type they have is like this http://www.aquacon.com/images/blastomerlettigreen.jpg but with lots more green.

thanks

Merletti's will do fine under PCs, but Wellsophyllia's usually prefer a little stronger light. They'll survive under PCs but won't really grow fast at all. Merletti's are FAR easier, on the level of care with frogspawn, torch, hammer, and galaxea (albeit not as aggressive). The one thing both blastomussa will not do well with is low flow, they prefer moderate to high flow :)

Edit: Under the right conditions, Merlettis can grow like weeds :D

ok thanks, they have both, but they are a bit expensive 10$ per polyp so far a tiny piece with two polyps it's going to cost me 20$. I've read they are a bit rare, the merlettis, is this true?

Nah, the Merlettis are common in the States. Wellsophyllias are more rare/expensive.
