blanket weed

hi does anybody know a fast cure for my garden pond,this year the blanket weed is really bad,i have inserted barley straw but is there anything else i could try regards fishbie23

Well usually by introducing barley weed before the blanket weed you stand a chance other than that an chemicals I find the best way is to do regular water changes and remove as much as possible manually and keep a fast current. Do you have a filter, this will help prevent it and you can also install a UV light in the filter. Where is the pond positioned, much sunlight?
