Not related to the subject but could a bristlenose pleco and a red lizard whiptail live in the same tank? @Byron you can probably awnser that :)

I see no problem, though I have not myself kept these two together but for no reason other than never having both at the same time.

That makes my day! My lfs has a big 150 gallon with 3 types of plecos and I love looking at them! Do male bristlenose protect caves if there are no females? I would get a female bristlenose if yes so I am sure there are no problems with the whiptail.
