Black Spot On Fish (Ill?)

WILDER said:
Just keep a close eye on it for now.
Is the fish male, or female. As sometimes when females are pregnant you can sometimes see the fry eyes.
it is only young. i brought it as a female but it looks like a male to me. its got a pointy fin underneath. but im not hundred percent as it isnt really colourful. its pretty plain with a yellow tail.

ive noticed but wasnt sure if it colouring. my blue male guppies have funny blackish markings on their head. i thought it was just markings. what do you think?

How young is the guppy as they can get pregnant fairly young.

I'll move the thread for you, Ginty :)

You can't, only mods can. You can always PM one of us :)

I've looked at some pictures of Endler Guppies, this kind of spot is just a normal colour mark on them. I have no experience in guppies, endlers or endler guppies, but could yours be an endler guppy?

I have a lot of guppies and many do develop a spot close to their body.  Definitely a male guppy, probably 3-4 months old.  It looks to be a part of the coloration, it has a spotted cobra pattern look to it.

i did buy a group of 6 and i asked for 4 females. i think i only ended up with 2 females. :/

i thought he was male.
i have 2 grown up guppies. they have a blackish colouration on there head. im trying to take photos but cant get any clear enough. do you think this is anything to worry about? im worried it could be ick or something like that.

Ich would be white, and two females will be plenty if you want to raise guppies.  Just keep an eye out, I believe it is his coloration.

thankyou. im new to this and have been very excited that i cycled my tank. i brought a new tank and am.going to start cycling that one. its 110l. im going to do fishless this time. i started my cycle with 2 platties and 2 whitecloud mountain minnows. i only have one of my original platties left. i added the guppies after the cycle had finished. i was given the wrong advice. i have learnt alot from forums. wish ifound these forums before i started.

im paranoid of my fish getting ill. because its not like dogs and cats. sometimes its harder to see any signs.

Yes it is different from dogs and cats.  But soon you will actually tune with your fish and know when they feel under the weather.
