Black skirt compatibility

I have heard these fish are prone to fin nipping other spieces such as guppies. Is this true?

Ive had 9 of them for a year now and not had any problems with them nipping or harrasing any of my fish - I kept them with Keyholes, corys, barbs and a plec
they are the easiest, least troublesome fish Ive ever kept, I've not kept them with guppies though
