IF YOU HAVE A HOSPITAL TANK I WOULD RECOMMEND MOVING HIM TO SO THAT THE FUNGUS DOES NOT SPREAD. IF NOT SET UP A 10 GAL TANK TO TREAT HIM ONLY AT THIS TIME. IF WHEN CATCHING HIM HE RUNS LIKE CRAZY HE MIGHT BE OKAY, IF HE IS RATHER EASY TO CATCH HE IS PROBABLY DYING VERY SLOWLY.
YOU COULD ALSO TRY TO GIVE HIM LIVE GHOST SHRIMP TO EAT OR TRY ANY WAYS. LIVE FOOD HAS ALWAYS WORKED WITH MY SICK FISH. HOPE THIS HELPS

Wow haven't seen this thread in a while lol.

Anyways, I also would recommend a hospital tank if you have one, if not treat the whole tank. I believe myxobacteriosis is a bacterial infection rather than a fungus, though, so make sure you use a bacterial med not a fungus one (unless it's like a 2 in 1 or something). I really don't know what med to tell you about because my guy's still alive & seemingly healthy, so I have to assume he got burned by a high pH I had, or maybe nitrite. Turned out I freaked about the popeye thing too lol, soooo glad.

Anyhoo - goodluck, maybe someone else can advise you on a good medication.
