Poor little neon seems to be struggling to swim properly and also has some sort of thing on its side - not sure if an injury or parasite. Video here.
. Any help or advice welcome.

Could be a number of things, but when fish start swimming like that, IME, they usually don't fully recover, and pass away

I've had fish with that swim issue live for several days, but they always end up deceased

I’ve had a few fish do this over the years I’ve kept fish and they have never recovered. I saw some people speculate it might be because of running carbon in the filter constantly which I have since removed from my filter a while ago except the rare instances I had to treat with medicine. It’s an unpreventable issue such as an issue with their swim bladder. I found that giving them skinned peas or giving them a little bath in epsom salt as temporary relief for their symptoms but they will unfortunately not recover :(

Thanks for the replies. The fish did indeed worsen and die, and then I lost another a couple of days later. Possibly the dreaded neon tetra disease as the other species seem OK
