Hello all,
I bought a Black moor 5 weeks ago and has not really settled in, spends most of the time at the waters surface but is showing no signs of visable illness. Has no problem eating but dose stuggle to break down pellets. Has had split fins in the past but heals quickly.

Water perameters:
Ammonia 0-0.25ppm
nitrite 0ppm
nitrate 5ppm
pH 7.4
Tank Temp 22.5c
Tank setup:
Roma 125ltr aquarium
Fluval 205 ex filter
tetratec APS 150 air pump(on at night)
Tank mates:
1 Fantail
1 choc oranda
1 redcap oranda
Diet:
Flake
pellets(struggles to eat)
freeze dried bloodworm
freeze dried daphnia
cucumber(now and again)

Is it just me worrying or could there be a problem.
Kind regards, Keith.

I always found Black Moors to be sickly fish that never did integrate and usually died well before the other fish.

Still love them though.

Dosen't really help but may suggest yours is normal? I don't know.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply thedoctor,
I noticed last night one of the fantails was really giving him a hard time. Today i have taken him back to the LFS, where i observed him for a good 5 minutes and he looked rather settled.
Kind regards, Skins
