Black Molly Turning Gold

hello everyone my auntie has had a cold water tank for about 2 years now and she has had this black molly in there from the start but just recently it has turned totally gold and i just wondered if anyone could explain why? we have asked a few people from the local pet shops and and a few aquatic centres but no one has ever heard of it before im not sure what other fish that are in with him but i know there are a few goldfish and some little goldeny coloured ones maybe he just felt left out lol so has anyone got any ideas on this one? thanks for reading Adam

Is it a livebearer? Mollies are tropical fish so maybe you mean blackmoor? These are fancy goldfish with eyes the kinda stand out?
If its a blackmoor then the black isnt a stable colour and unless its a show standard fish bred well, then most blackmoors start to go bronze and then gold after a while.
If its a livebearer then i suppose it can turn colour as well, depending on parentage.
