Black Lancer Help

Hi I'm new here and wondered if any one out there can help me out with a question about my new Black Lancer catfish, I have had my Black Lancer for just over a week now and was told by the Aqurium which I purchased him that they were a very peaceful comunity fish, when I came home I looked the Lancer up on the net and it said the same thing, it said that even small fish were safe around the Black Lancer but last night I had one of my fancy male Guppies tails torn to shreads and the night before I found another Male Guppy dead with it's tail missing, I have since taken out all my Guppies and put them into my tetra tank but I am hopeing that the Lancer will not hurt any other fish in my comunity tank, I have two Angel fish, two Silver Sharks, Two Spotted Headstanders, two Sordtails, six Cory Catfish, and a school of six Rummy Nose. Would anyone out there have any experence with these beautiful catfish and could offer some advice.

I just wanted to say good luck with your lancer cat. I too have only read that they are peaceful. I want a couple to put with my new black ghost knife. Lancer cats are pretty rare (probably more so for me here in Oregon) but I'm gonna find one.
If your tank is too small, that could be a factor. territory issues
