arrange all possible caves so you can see in them orelse you probably wont see your BGK again for a few months.

some people use transparent pipes so you can see them all day and the bgk feels nice and safe everyones happy

I've had a BGKF for about 6 months now, when I bought him he was about 2" long. Now he's about 7!

In that time we've bought a fairly big tank with a fake hollow log, has a small hole in the side so we can see in, nice shaded areas for him and he now comes out in the day and we can even hand feed him.. can't get enough of blood worm and cucumber!

Some people say not to keep them with small fish, but we have neons guppies and a fairly small Siameese Algea eater with no problems at all. He does have the occasional encounter with our small Plec though fighting for the same bit of a dark area.

Feeding time is fun when he piles through all the fish to get to the food though..

Just remember.. if you get one start with at least a 180ltr tank for the first year then consider upgrading as soon as possible after that.

it probably won't stay like that much longer they will eat small fish just like nearly every other large fish. anything the can fit in their mouths they will eat. so when he gets bigger you may notice your missing some fish.

I've also heard that they tend to be ok with fish that they've grown up with. Apparently they don't see them as food, but pitty the poor fish added after

I just hope they'll be ok.

Either way, a great fish... has a big "wow" factor from people who sees him!

4x2x2 is either 119.21 US gallons or 100.66 Imperial Gallons. Always a good idea to list which measurement unit is used.

I keep my bgk in a vision 450 (Juwel), that is roughly just under 100 UK gal. He is about 6" and he is happy as larry! lol
