Black Ghost Knifes....

I have a black ghost knife and hes about 12" long and in an 80gal tank but im rehoming him because the tanks really too small for him now.I would seriously consider getting the smaller brown african knife.

How long did it take him to reach taat length?

Just for the record there is also a smaller brown ghost knife, which is a south american species. The differences aren't limited to color and size though. The brown ghost knife has a much larger mouth than the black ghost, and if I'm not mistaken is a bit more aggressive, though they are both much friendlier fish than the african knifefish species. The small brown knifefish (african species) would probably be much less a problem than the bigger ones, though.

I'm pretty sure they are a good deal smaller, but their mouth is much, much larger.
