They are very beautiful, don't they get huge though?

Beautiful fish, i've seen them in my LFS and they look really cool! I was 'put off' though coz the guy said they can grow pretty big!

i wanted a nice groupto go with the Sailfin Plecs. they have more than enough room in there.

lovely fish. I've had one a couple of years and hes about 7 inches now, very peaceful but I wonder if they stay that way in a group as they get older?

Yep, kept in an appropriatly sized tank 20" :)

yep and they look so cool gliding around at 20" put that together with the fact that they have so much open swimming room in the big tank, i think they will love it.

What size is your tank?

5*3*2

yeah that is what i am wondering, never seen anyone keep a group pf them before. i may add some more, imagine them in the 5*3*2 in a nice group slinking around.

I havr a BGK Hes a good 7inches now :good: But He has begun to scrap with the upside down catfish for the abandoned ship ornament which he cant even fit in :L So may Have to look at him leaving but dont know yet see how he gets on :good: Good Idea Gill :)

I had one that at 4 years had gotten to 14 inchs. Its really best when they get bigger not to keep a group of them, one is best as the electrical impulses that they use for finding food will interfere with each other. Max for a 5 ft tank would be 2.

i agree with that also my lfs has a huge one around 18 inches in their 500 gallon display tank and it is awesome to watch gliding around whenever im there i spend a good 15 mins watching it lol

I will see how they get on as they mature, won't be a problem if they start to argue, as i have plenty more big tanks for them to go into.
