Bit Of Home Surgery

We just performed a bit of home surgery on one of our dogs, Seti.
He has had this skin tag for a while now, progressively growing to probably about the size of am almond.
We knew it didn't have any blood running through it as it was nice and cold, so we ordered some Ametop topical anaesthetic we use for body mods, and yesterday proceeded to cut it off, and bandage him up.
The whole thing worked a treat, and apart from being slightly extra needy towards me (which is nice as I'm a new family member, recently marrying his mother) he is doing fine.

He has a red card at the vets for barking all the time, haha, so if we were taking him to vets we would have had to find a new one, and he gets really stressed out there.
So me being an ex nurse, now body piercer, and my wife being a professional body modification artist, we took it under our control to perform this minor surgery.

well done on the successful treatment , not sure id be brave enough to attemp it . altho if your vet wont see you because your dog barks when hes there then i wouldnt want to use that vet anyway . he of all people should know that the barking is a stress reaction to being there in the 1st place .

exactly, seemed like some sort of veterinary paradox!
But yeah we were confident, i used to work in an operating theatre, and my wife cuts and modifies people for a profession, so it was all good.
He's feeling much better now.

We just didnt want it growing to the size where it would start housing vessels and capillaries, then we would have problems, and i dont want him biting me again.
He bit me last week on the lip and i had to have 12 stitches, so i was a bit scared incase he reacted, thought i was trying to get revenge...
