And most of the day she has been getting seriously harrassed by the boys in my tank. they are even fighting with each other ( stopping each other from mating with her and pushing each other quite aggressively)

Is this a sign that she's going to have fry soon as to me these females look preg and the boys are very persistent on mating with these specific females

I think that fry are not long off! Often, other fish in the tank will try and stay as close as they can to a birthing fish so that they might have a shot at a tasty snack. Males also try to mate with a fish that has just given birth so that the fry coming up will have their DNA. Look for a birthing tube as well, which is also a sign that fry are on their way. I think that you're going to have a lot of new fish very soon! :good:

I'm glad that I'm not guessing wrong and I've got 16 fry at the mo and they was in 2 batches that I had no clue where and who they come from as there wasn't any sign with the fish that turned out to be the mum's. But on the bright side I know at least 3 of my orange black fry have sail fin just got to wait a bit longer as my youngest fry are 3 days old and the oldest are 8 days old. At this rate I'm going to have a good store credit If they accept them if I can't find any buyers for them.

Hopefully they can be sold as all my males are sail fin so will be different to the normal mollies that are up for sale plus be a lot cheaper to buy off me aswell then out a shop

Adult males that is

Your copper colored fish does not look close to me. I am happy for you that you have plenty of fry to deal with but don't count on any more for at least a week.

I'm hoping its not for another week as I've got my DIY fry trap but I think I've drilled a couple holes to big as my fry was somehow escaping it so I need them to get a little bit bigger so the "newborn" can go into the net trap And thanks for replying oldman47 and Neptune54
