I got this kind of betta bowl for my b-day and its well....small...
BETTA BOWL
My b-day was 10-23-04 but i havent opened this one..odd....oh well
I dont want to hurt a betta fish nor my aunts feelings... :(

Mind if anyone comments on what i should do?

Maybe you could show your aunt some imformative sites on betta care, and then have her come to the store with you to pick out another, more suitable tank/bowl. Also, maybe you could find a fish that truly would be happy in small spaces to keep in that bowl, so that you're not hurting your aunts feelings.

Hmmmmmmmmm

Well I would personally explain to ur aunt what are the requirements of a betta and whats like the limit of keeping them in. But i think u dont wanna hurt ur aunts feelings so.... :/

I Wold buy some plants(real) and keep it as a terrium since the light will provide enought light for the plants. And maybe get a mystery snail?

Really cool!
If only it were like 5 times bigger!

The snail and plant Idea was a great one!

That is rather incredibly small. I don't use any bowl smaller than a half gallon with my bettas. It's harder to find space, but they're happy. What you could do is just use it as like a small aquatic garden. It would still look really pretty. ;)

I actually have one of those, and they are pretty small, probably about 1/4th gallon. I had a baby female in mine for a while til she got bigger then added her to my 10 gallon..so I think it would be fine to put a really small baby female in there. just make sure you do every other day water changes cause of the tiny space. and the snail idea is a good one.

iv seen those bowls and i think they are very cool and would be great for showing off ur bettas but it is about 7 sizes to small -_- i know someone who has an african dwarf frog in one, he says its pretty happy there ;) do u ahve any frogs, im not sure of any kind of fish that would be happy in there that doesn't require company -_-

A african dwarf from eh? Doent those get big? like 1 inch? :/

merf

Ill have to think about what im gunna go. Just i need it to look perdy :S

I wouldn't go with a baby betta, they need good grow out size to continue growing and that could stunt them :/ Personally I wouldn't put anything in there

Sorrell I think that plants and a snail or frog will be just fine. I can under stand a betta not being in there though -_- I dont think that the plants will be "upset" that they will be in there

Like I said, just put plants in there.

Hmm... I'm not sure if this might help... but if could somehow find a lotus flower, you could put it in there and it would look incredibly beautiful.
