Biozyme

Oh ok. I need to test my tap water.... I'm going to pour a glass full right now then test it tomorrow at 7.

Well, at least you got a nitrIte reading pretty quick, compared to my Tetra safe start test
It's going to be interesting how this turns out. I hadn't even heard of Biozime before.

I don't think that they have it in europe. The main reason why I am testing it is that I know a woman who has been keeping fish for 20+ years, and swears by it. The lab tech in my is very curious. I am currently doing research as to what food most bottled bacterias require to grow, and with the help of our microbiology techniologist, I may set up some cultures at work of other bottle bactreias to see if there is growth. I have to test biozyme this way because it requires water for re-activation, according to the package. I figured, what the heck, I need to cycle this tank anyway.

Could reactivate in water and then plate out.
And I was going to ask about the other cultures. Glad your doing them still. The inner scientist in me wants to know too.

Day 6
pH 7.4-7.6
ammon: 2ppm
nitrite: 4ppm
nitrate: between 10&20

Day 7
Ammon: 1ppm
Nitrate: between 2&5ppm

The results look promising so far. I think I have exactly the same colour nitrites at the moment.
