Hello,
I just got a new Biowheel 330 filter from a friend, but it doesn't have any filter media with it. I know to get the cartridges, but does anyone have any suggestions on what to put in the two baskets in the back? I have a 55 gallon tank with only two fish in it right now and want to add more, but my water is always cloudy. Any suggestions? :dunno:

The bio-wheel will give you all of the bio-filtration that you need and more, so IMO the best media for the extra baskets is filter-floss, or fibre-floss. This inexpensive media will help with the finer mechanical filtration, helping to polish the water.

I wouldn't worry too much about the cloudiness if the tank is newly set up, this is fairly normal, and will go away as the tank and filters mature. Filters actually get better with age, as they become more established.

Thanks! I'll try that. I had never used one of these filters before so I had no idea what the baskets were used for.
