Just bought a biorb. cannot wait to get started.. any comments on the globe?
Also I live in Bristol area, UK. Any fishkeepers around for general chat about Local Fish Stores and swaps etc?

:hi: to the fishy forums and good luck with your new biorb.

Hi there

I too am new and have never been in a forum before!! I too have recently bought a birob and also live in Bristol - Yate to be exact!! I have baby platties.

Yohoo . thank you guys and gals for warm welcome. Is this a worldwide forum or a UK/US one?
Just added a few plants in the globe and letting the nitrogen cycle rip... trying to speed up the nitrogen cycle by using the cotton/felt from some potted plants as seeders for the nitrosomas- hope that there is no disease in the felt though. I am willing to take the risk there is no fish in the orb now.
I will probably add 2-3 guppies in a week's time.
Special hello to Catangar- fellow somerset dude.
BTW Catangar where do you buy yo fishes?

hi m8 :D im a "newbie" too.started about 6 weeks ago.
Im in lockleaze and ive got most of my fish from "Almondsbury garden centre".
A little bit more expensive than the rest, but the staff in there really seem to know their "stuff" which is helpfull and reassuring to us newbies.

:hi: to all the newbies. koujiro, this is a worldwide forum, but most of the members are from the uk, the usa or canada (or is canada part of the usa...??). And I don't think there will be any disease in the felt :)

thank you all .. I am still looking for some freshwater shrimps in the UK
