So yeah I was thinking about purchasing one of these things, as I'm often out during the day for long but varying amounts of time. However £35 ($65?) is rather expensive for a funky lightbulb, and I was wondering if such a thing is recommended by anyone?

to be honest i think biorbs and biubes are a waste of money, the biube is ok but the biorb i dont like as its a bowl and i dont like the filteration...lighting sounds cool tho, is it were it chamges from:

moonlight, sunrise sunset etc.?

I would say that if you've got a Biorb/Biube, then the iLight is far far better than the standard halogen lighting it comes with as it's a more natural light.

Hi,

I have the intelligent LED with my Biorb. I think it is a nice additionand its supposed to be relaxing for the fish to have day gradually turn into light, rather than having a light just switched on. I suppose in its simplest form it is just the same as having a timer fitted to a light/plug socket, and the light gradually starting.

I agree with you that they are a bit pricey, but so are most bits of the Biorb range!! I love it, and since the Biorbs aren't always the most fish friendly tanks, they add to making life a little less stresful for the fish.

A fair portion of people on this forum aren't in favour of the Biorb, but I think so long as they are stocked appropriately then they are fine. My fish is very happy in it :D I received it as a christmas present, and have become addicted to fish. I have a second tank already!!
