Bio Wheel?

Do I need to remove the bio wheel AND the carbon filled filters before I treat for ich?? Does it contain carbon?

Bio-wheels hold bacteria, there is no carbon on the bio-wheel.

Depending on the treatment you are using, it will say if it affects your biological cycle.


You do need to remove carbon filters before treating because if you don't the carbon will just take the medication out of the water and your fish will not be treated.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I have been waiting to see what was said to treat!
Have pulled the carbon filter packs and will leave the Bio Wheels!
