are these type of filters avalible in the uk, if not.. what would you recommend through experience, cost of running, ease of maintenance, price etc...

My HOB on my 100l tank is on its way out... was hoping to get another soon, to get running in the background incase it goes altogether soon.

thanks :good:

why noy get a small external and put your media insyde one of the baskets? this way the filter will be able to cope with your fish load and can seed the new media....

it really depends on your budget really....

eheim classic 2213 or 2215 would be more than enough for 100L, these are tough, no frills little filters.

rena xp2 also would be good and i think someone has a couple for sale on here.....

you really want to get the biggest external you can within reason so in the future you can move to a larger tank without upgrading, if this is the way you will see yourself going. but nothing massive as the fish will get blown all over the tank......
look out for a secondhand one as they can be quite expensive new, although nothing beats a brand spanker.....!
