im thinking about upgrading to a bio-wheel filter...does anyone have one of these...if you do please tell me how it worked out :fun:

I have 2 Bio-wheel filter and 1 Emperor Biowheel filter. I hate my Bio-Wheel 330, and 125, but i LOVE my emperor. I am constantly having problems with my bio-wheels. The emperor holds more media and it is alot quieter. If i get a biowheel filter i stronglt reccomend the Emperor 280/400 Instead of the Bio-wheel Mini, 125, 170, and 330..

I never had the emporer lines but the 125 and minis and never had any trouble out of them. I guess if I got an emporer I would probably see a difference. But so far I would recomend them, and I hardly hear mine....

I have the biowheel that came with my 5 gallon, and it's awesome! I wish all my tanks had biowheels.

EVERYONES AGAINST ME!!!! lol j/k maybe i just got a bad 330. Its loud and always kept my tank cloudy, i used the extra media area for ammorid and black diamond carbon. I dont know what went wrong with that one but my 125 keeps my 10 clear. But as for Emperor or Penguin i guess it would really depend an the tank size.
