Bio-Spira vs others

Is Bio-spira the best bilogical additive to instantly cycle a new tank? I see other brands such as Cycle by Hagen with the same description.

I've never tried it, but I don't think those products work. Why not just stick to the fishless cycle method? It takes a bit longer but at least you know your fish will be safe.

*You could also ask your LFS or a friend with an established tank for some gravel or filter material. I believe it would work much better than any biological additive.
