Bio Filter

Hi all today I went and upgraded my aquaclear mini to a Penguin Bio-Wheel 330 for my 20 gallon tank.

My question is: Those Media baskets that are behind the blue filters is it ok to put that white floss stuff in there for extra filtration of large dirts and uneaten foods?

Yes thats fine. It won't make much difference though.

It might not make that great of a difference per mechanical filtration but it would make a huge difference biologically as it would give more surface area for the beneficial bacteria to colonize.
