biggest tank uve ever seen

I dont know its size, but the largest I've seen is the one at my lfs. It holds a nurse shark and a morey eel. Both are about 6 feet long. The tank must be 10 feet by 6 or 8 and 6 feet tall. Not much going on it in though. Just the two fish.

EDIT Just checked the website, and that tank is 1200 gallons!

biggest i'v seen is 6' x 2' x 2' it's currently my cousins, best friends marine tank, but at the end of the year he's selling it to buy an even bigger one!

That's the tank i'll be putting my discus in... :)

the biggest tank i seen was basically my garage. it flooded here one year and my garage was a couple feet deep in water. all the minnows came in the garage door and there was even a catfish!
its a 6 car garage.

We have an empty 450 in the garage, but it has a huge crack in it. We already had it flood our house once and my husband says he's not going through that again. Also, it technically belongs to the store I used to managed. Even though the store and last owner are both long gone, I know the tank is on the inventory and she could ask for it back at any time.
We had three pacus in it, one was Mongo, who we still have, and it wasn't very decorated either. It's hard when they are that big, and this one was really deep too. When we were setting it up I stood in it to put the gravel in and it came to my chest, so all the decorations looked like they had been shrunk :S

The largest I have actually seen in a house is my own, a 125 gallon saltwater tank. But I don't get out much.

The marine shop I used to work in had an 1800 gallon tank with a nurse shark, black tip reef shark, and a remora. There was a huge pile of live rock in the center to form like a refuge for the tangs, angels, damsels, and other small fish. None ever got eaten, the sharks got fed on a schedule every day so there was no need to put forth effort in "hunting".

Sorrell, it is true on how hard they are to setup, im 191cm tall and my whole arm didnt fit down the side of my tank, it gave me second thoughts when i was buying it, but then i though, hey if i want i can swim in this thing, so i brought it.

So true Vip. This tank was in the store for years. It originally held dunper Oscars and it had 10-12, awesome looking tank. Then we drained it and it was display for an iguana. I climbed in and out of there everyday to clean and feed, really weird to think about after it had my pacus in it!

The biggest tank I have ever seen was approximatly 2500 Gallons large and was in my local LFS. The tank was in fact suspended near the ceiling! It contained all these fish in FULL SIZE - Clown Loaches, shovelnose catfish, silver dollars, tinfoil barbs, sailfin pleco, rubber pleco, clown knife and it may have had some other large unnamed fish.

Melbourne Aquarium has a round room, my guess it would be about 300,000 gallons, maybe more, its a massive round room with chairs in it and its a about 20ft high, you could fit about 100 people in veiwing for sure.
