bigger tank bigger heater?

is this true? i recently (today) brought a 22.5 uk gal tank today... came with everything apart from plants fish and HEATER!

iv been told with it being 36x15x12 and my other tank is 24x15x12 that i wouldnt be able to have the same size heater they said it wouldnt do the 'job'

i need to know soon cause im gettin the heater tomoz....


so will i need a bigger heater or can i have the normal size one?

You don't say what heater you are currently have but a 100w heater will be fine in that tank.

Out of interest what is the rating on your current heater and who told you it was was too small?
