Just list away.

Any fish that you'd wish you could have but you couldn't cause your tank was too small.

With a 1200 gallon tank, I don't think they'll be much trouble with size.

For example, I am trying to presuade my friend to get a FireTire {oops, I am not that sure if that is what it is called} Eel.. They are COOL.

Any other fish????

Oh, I forgot to say what I want. I would want a giant gourami, jack dempseys, and or green terrors.

Petsmart was selling giant gourami as lavander gourami for $2.99 (max size 4 inches). People were going to buy them and I told them that the fish was mismarked and it gets over 2 feet long and really ugly as it gets older. They were like oh, what gourami stays small? So I was showing them and the petsmart clerk just stood there and watched lmao. SO FUNNY!!!!

Thanks Auratus... Eels really are not my thing. But I happened to see one once and it caught my fancy.

A huge tank of gouramis doesn't sound that bad. At least you don't have to have a heartattack if the aerating device breaks down or during a powerout.

Hi auratus :)

Are you sure that it was a real giant gourami? This one?

There is a real color variation called "lavender gourami." IMHO, it's not the most attractive fish, though.

Why assume you have to put big fish in a big tank?

I'd get a couple of white tip shark catfish, If i had a bigger tank i'd get them cause they look like salt water sharks and they get big about 12" long. I'm still really tempted to buy one and put it on a 33 G but it will probably outgrow my tank pretty quickly

Exactly, why not go with a gaint community tank, themed by an area. Say a South American or Asian community you could have huge shoals of Loaches and some Barbs or a gaint collection of Plecos. Nearly anything is possible.

Think very carefully before buying and Good Luck.

I took a pic of my book. See how cute it is when it's little? This is what they were selling as lavander gourami. They really do change as they get older.

I've got that book, it isn't a bad little book. :)

You should convince him to make it a Salt Water tank then you would have not trouble stocking it to look really cool. If not a school of giant danios would also be cool.

Opcn

The pics kind of suck though. They show fish in really bad color. They make cichlid and tetras look so bland and their color is much better in real life.
Here is a lavender gourami. Turns out it's a cross between a blue and gold gourami. Looks like a blue to me with gold highlights.

Hi Auratus :)

OMG you are right, then! :hyper:

The picture you posted doesn't even look like a real lavender gourami. I think there will be some people in for a big surprise when their cute little fish starts to grow!
