Also if you have good connections then try to get in touch with the the local tourism development department. Your aquarium can be the biggest 'in house aquarium' in the state, so it can be a 'tourist cum enthusiast must see'.

The only problem with this one is that many counties in UK would require them to get most of the same licences as are needed for LFS, and these can be very costly, depending on which county they are in

Great topic and I think some great ideas have been put forward.

What have you in mind regarding water changes? If you could get a self draining set up it would be good. Also plumbing it into your water line would be good so there would be no need for hoses etc.
Planted tank or not?
Lighting?
Have you worked out an average electricity cost as a tank of such size would need some serious circulation.
Filters?

Stocking is all down to personal taste. Me, I'd go for arowanas.
