It sounds like they are just settling in, Maybe try sinking food pellets, and just leave them there for a bit. (I tried the crickets today for my jd's, they loved em )

not too much of change my tanks are at 8.4 and i think works are dead on 8.

The litle apolo was struggling with 1 for quite a while
