Hmmm Previous owner obviously took the name literally...
Looks like they will be fine tho. The Panaque L191 I bought at the weekend is also missing a large portion of his tail, he was in a tank with Jewel Cichlids. Of all the stuuuupid ideas...
Some good clean water will have him fixed up in no time tho, am sure your new 'inmates' will be the same!!
BTW they are nice looking fish!

Yep, they both look like striped cons to me. And I agree they both look like males since I can't see any orange on the belly.
Good job saving these guys. I'm sure they will be a lot happier now!
