Will a betta work OK in my 2.5 gallon?
If it's a blue theme, you should get a red, cambodian, marble, or any other light-colored non-blue betta instead.shelly25 said:Sweet tank you have there! My 2.5 tank has a "blue" theme and I saw a blue betta at the pet store that would look cool in it. Think i'll go buy it today. I'll post a pic later! Thanks everyone.
I'd be worried about the sharpness of the artificial plants.Itty Bitty Betta said:Absolutely! I use a palm filter (currently 2 until it is cycled; I cleaned out the entire tank and filters after the deaths), and have a female betta living in there with two otos.
This is what my 2.5g set up looks like:
I'm looking into mondo grass. I will just let it float.BronzeWolf said:Cute tank.... some real floating plants would be nice for your betta, they like to snuggle up to it and just "hang out"...lol
It's plastic, and that's why I placed a female betta in there. All my male betta containers are bare.cation said:I believe itty uses silk plants to avoid any sharp edges, but I could be mistaken!
You mean a blue theme like this? A red betta would be a nice centerpiece.shelly25 said:Sweet tank you have there! My 2.5 tank has a "blue" theme and I saw a blue betta at the pet store that would look cool in it. Think i'll go buy it today. I'll post a pic later! Thanks everyone.
Oops, shows what I know! Let that be a lesson to all - don't listen to me!Itty Bitty Betta said:It's plastic, and that's why I placed a female betta in there. All my male betta containers are bare.cation said:I believe itty uses silk plants to avoid any sharp edges, but I could be mistaken!
