Sure, that would be a very nice home for a Betta, keep the water clean and the temp warm and he should be very happy

If he's the only one in it sure! There may be room for a trio of pygmy cories too but try the betta first. Filtration, heater?

Yep, the 2.5 gallon has a Whisper filter, no heater (but I can get one if needed.) I've got gravel and plants, it's been cycling with no fish for about two weeks. I just haven't been able to decide what could comfortably live in something that small.

What are pygmy cories? Those sound interesting.

Absolutely! I use a palm filter (currently 2 until it is cycled; I cleaned out the entire tank and filters after the deaths), and have a female betta living in there with two otos.

Sweet tank you have there! My 2.5 tank has a "blue" theme and I saw a blue betta at the pet store that would look cool in it. Think i'll go buy it today. I'll post a pic later! Thanks everyone.

If it's a blue theme, you should get a red, cambodian, marble, or any other light-colored non-blue betta instead.

Cute tank.... some real floating plants would be nice for your betta, they like to snuggle up to it and just "hang out"...lol

I believe itty uses silk plants to avoid any sharp edges, but I could be mistaken!

It's plastic, and that's why I placed a female betta in there. All my male betta containers are bare.
