Like I've stressed, I'm not looking for an particular answer, just lots of advice from different people who may have experienced both these species. I found the goldfish and piranha analogy quite sarcasticSorrell said:I'm sorry but this has been bothering me all night I wouldn't keep a goldfish with a piranha and says "There's lots of hiding places so he's got a good shot! "Tjimbsoj said:...Obviously you can minimise the chance of conflict. My setup is very heavily planted with driftwood so the chance of survival is maximised....
... Although there is a slim threat of the betta being attacked, its something I will especially consider...
When we put fish/frogs into an aquarium environment we are responsible for their well-being and quality of life. It's not fair to the fish to be placed in a predator-prey situation. This question is posted in three places on the forum and you are getting the same advice from everyone, I'm sorry it's not what you want to hear.
Why not buy a 20 for your frogs and then continue the community in your 15
What I'm trying to establish is whether this is truly a predator-prey situation. My experience tells me no, some internet site say it is, some no, yourself believes it is. I've expressed before continually, it is paramount both species do not come to harm, so there is no need to undermine myself as a hobbyist.
I'm just looking for opinions from across the board aswell as many resources. I truly appreciate what you have to say, and another tank is something I will consider, but you are seemingly finding my continual "probing" tedious and frustrating, so please refrain from patronising my opinion.
Out of the 3 topics posted in the forum, this has happened to me on 2. It is not what I supposedly want to hear which is causing conflict, its the fact that as I continue to probe for opinions, people begin to judge myself and other posters as not listening and not taking their advice as objectively correct.
I cant understand after intellectual banter it boils down to cheap ribbing and a few sarcastic plugs
