Much earlier I visited a local fish shop in March/April and found some giant bettas (including a pretty female), koi bettas and even wild bettas sourced in Thailand in Aquotix Aquariums in Canning Vale. They take care of their fish better than Petco or PetSmart. Note that the cups they are in look dirty in some pictures. The shop does frequent water changes in these temporary cups and know how to care for them properly. The wild bettas are kept in aquaria while the splendens bettas are put in cups (a common practice).

Wow I really like how they actually take care of their betas unlike the fish stores around me. Those betas are beautiful!
