Bettas In Pet Shops

My local Pet Store keeps their bettas in cups..

But although I don't agree with the cups, my Pet Store cups are actually fairly clean. I've only ever seen them dead like once or twice. I know it sounds like I'm 'promoting' cups, but the bettas are actually usually fine. And then they all end up at my house in five gallon tanks all over my room.
Well I have one but I have one more in the closet that I am planning to put up

Putting them in Key Chains? How horrid!

I was at Chilton aquatics in Durham last week and they were all in pint glasses on top of the tanks. I bought a "girl" from fish alive in Durham a few days ago and its actually a boy. They had a few boys in the tank with the girls. Was really hard to sex them, still never got my girl as ive kept my boy. So got 2 boys in 2 tanks for now. Still want some girls though...
