my betta was friends witha giant apple snail till it ate hime, id recomend small fish like zebra fish and neons. corys, plecos and stuff will be good, ottos 2

Mine is a therometer to! I was acaully thinkin of getting him a few tank mates i dont know wat to get tho hes in a 5g any suggestions (sorry to hijack the thread )

I actually wouldn't suggest any of these fish be put with bettas, except for cories or ottos, and a pleco if there is enough room (which would be difficult). Zebra danios bite fins, and are too active, so upset bettas. Neons can be eaten by bettas, and also will nip fins.


I keep one of my nicest bettas with cories. Everyone else is too mean.

Kuhlis really need more space than that, and they love buddies, so wouldn't be happy if you could only have one or two. I'd try cories. With smaller types you could have perhaps 4 or 5 (depends on filtration and how often you mantain the tank too), and maybe 3 for you mwm.
